Sakae Sushi - Robinson Manila

I think a lot of Filipinos love sushi and because I crave for them I decided to invite my sister and my nephew to a dinner buffet of sushi in Sakae Sushi, located at the ground floor of Robinson Ermita, Manila.

Since we love sushi and all, we decided to go back there for the second time together with the whole family. But this time, I availed of the cashcashpinoy voucher: "Sushi ALL-YOU-CAN buffet with Miso soups, Bottomless Hot or Cold Green Tea good for six (6) people" for only Php1,549.00.  I purchased 2 vouchers just for this family event.

Normally, the regular price of the buffet for adult is Php399 while Php199 for children. You may choose to just order them by piecemeal or individually depending on your sushi cravings. The price per plate depends on their color: red and purple plates=Php99, green plates=Php79, yellow plates=Php59, and blue plates=Php39.

I ranked their sushi according to how much delectable they are. Here are my top 5 sushis:

#1

#2

#3

#4

#5

Below are some other pics of their sushis. I apologize for the quality of these. I am using my old camera during those times.

For my ratings (1=least, 10=outstanding):
Price = 9
Food Quality = 8 (because some sushis don't have much taste, in short, matabang! hehe)
Cleanliness = 10
Ambiance = 9
Service = 10

Btw, to note, one of my economic principles in life is to enjoy life in a smart way. I don't go to buffet restaurants or other classy places without me availing their discounted rates and deals. If you could enjoy life without sacrificing your pocket, then do it. Be smart, explore things, and have fun! :)

Eating desserts with love in "Love Desserts"

Last month, my high school friends and I decided to meet up and have a reunion before the year 2012 ends. One of my friends, after eating lunch, asked us if we want to try a dessert buffet in Banawe, QC. Of course, all of us said yes! So, there..we went to the said cafe and filled ourselves up. Below are some of the pics I took..

 They have this long table on the side where all kinds of desserts that you can imagine are at hand. They have cakes (brazo de mercedes, ube, chocolate, mango, sansrival, etc.), cookies, brownies, chilli cheese, and many more.

The mango cake is the most delicious among the others because it's not that sweet unlike their black forest cake. I was not able to take some pics of their black forest since they only brought it out when the first batch of cakes were done. And that time, I was done taking pics of the cakes.

They have these small dessert glasses, I don't know what do you call them but they taste great!

Chilli cheese and Buchi!

 They also have other desserts which I don't recognize.

They have salads too!

Nachos?! I don't know, maybe not. They are like lumpia wrapper-made-like nachos?!

Below is their chocolate fountain, but it's not working when we went there. I don't know why but the chocolate was not flowing.

They likewise have halo-halo though I didn't get a chance to try them since I was already so full.

Their ice cream section.

Of course, the desserts overload won't be complete without crepes! They offer banana, strawberry, blueberry, etc. crepes.

Also included in their menu are beverages such as coffee, tea, and juices.

So, now, what's included in my plate..

And my favorite masterpiece! I was the one who designed this banana crepe!  Fabulous, isn't it?

One amazing thing about Love Desserts, they have this freedom board where you can write or draw anything you want. Also, the hanging Santa Clause looks fantastic!

I have no idea who did this, but this one caught my attention. It's very creative and cute! Whoever did this two thumbs up to you pal!

 As to the store as a whole..here are some of the pictures.

Lastly, for the price..

Normally, the buffet costs you Php199 for a two-hour seating. But during Valentine's day, they usuallyhave a promo, the buffet price will only be Php143 for that day only (Feb.14). This is good news for those lovey-dovey couples out there who crave for desserts like these.

Overall, I definitely recommend this cafe to everyone who has a big tummy for sweets.
